Danella Shea

Danella Shea’s career with children started a long time before she became a Montessori Trained Directress. With the encouragement of friends who had long watched her enthusiasm for projects benefiting children, and a frustration with the current education system, Danella began her training with the San Diego National Center for Montessori Education in 1997. Today, she has realized a life-long dream, working at “the school of my dreams, doing what I love to do…..teach and observe the children, where are their minds how can I feed them to become the adults they are meant to be!”

Danella’s Montessori Credential is with NCME/AMS. She also holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and has a background in Business Consulting, Sales, Marketing, and Training.

I decided to become a Montessori Teacher so that I can help children learn and build their self confidence so that they can explore new ideas and become comfortable with who they are and how they fit into this world. It is one way I felt I could make a difference.

I began my training with the North American Montessori Center in 2004 (NAMC). Upon receiving my credential I began teaching immediately and now 3 years later I am enjoying taking the time explaining concepts to children as they are ready, and seeing the light in their eyes as they accomplish the task at hand.

In the years prior to becoming a Montessori teacher my experience varied from Software Quality Assurance to Management, however I found that sometimes elusive feeling of: Am I doing something that makes a difference in the world.
